Tom Hugo put together the Norwegian band KEiiNO in late 2018. They became well-known through Eurovision 2019, where they represented Norway and while they didn't win the contest, they won the public televotes and came in sixth place overall with their hit 'Spirit In The Sky'.

As a solo artist, Tom released his debut-album Sundry Tales in Germany June 2012. The single "Open Up Your Eyes" released in summer 2011.
He has co-written songs for many artists across Europe and Asian. He co-wrote a song with Chris Busek for Japanese supergroup TVXQ a Christmas song, "Very Merry Xmas", on the 27th November. He also co-wrote the B-side "Sunny Day Hero" taken from SHINee's gold-selling maxi-single "Boys Meet U".
